About Me

Hi, I’m Taylor! I’m a Winnipeg-born, tech nerd and sales evangelist working in the start-up community in Toronto. I am a full-time sales leader here in the city, a part-time professor teaching international sales and market entry strategy, and a part-time sales consultant helping other start-ups optimize their revenue funnel and successfully grow their business.

About Me

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked for several tech companies ranging from bootstrapped 80-100 person start-ups, to small-medium Series A funded companies ranging from 50-150 employees. During my time in technology I’ve been fortunate to gain experiences across every stage of the sales funnel includes sales development, business development, full cycle sales, enterprise sales, account management, business development management, sales management and growth strategy. I’ve done the hard work and proved success in each of my roles which allows me the opportunity to coach and mentor others to do the same. Some of my achievements include: selling over $1 million in new business annual reoccurring revenue in a single year; identifying and selling $500,000 enterprise deals; and building and mentoring both a sales development and business development team from the ground up.

Since joining the tech community, the most rewarding part has been watching my team’s successes followed closely by ideating and executing on solutions to existing business challenges. My approach to sales and business/market development is largely inspired by my first sales mentor and my former customers, which you’ll find reflected in my challenger and personalized approach.

Outside of the workweek hustle, I am an impassioned globetrotter always exploring new professional, volunteer, educational or personal opportunities through unique adventures around the globe. When I was 18 I took my first trip to Australia to volunteer and help revive the Grampians National Park after is suffered incredible damage from forest fires. After I did a couple weeks of volunteer work, I spent a few weeks traveling the coast and haven’t been able to stop since. Traveling has changed the way I view the world, changed the way I work and live, and really just made me a better person all around. It has allowed me the opportunity to trust more, be more open-minded to other opinions, empathize more with those who may have different challenges than I have, and think more critically about the challenges I face personally. To this day I’ve travelled to 6 continents and 41 countries and am very fortunate that I’ve been awarded the opportunity to do so.

To complement my obsessions for technology, business and travel, I completed my MBA at IE Business School out of Madrid, Spain in 2018 which focused on international business, entrepreneurship and innovation. I was fortunate to have completed their Global MBA program which allowed me to study alongside classmates from 47 different countries globally. As a result I was able to learn more about how business is done in other countries and better understand how important it is to understand cultural differences and similarities when doing business overseas.
